Bank of America acknowledged the loss in statement “We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague. She was a valued teammate who will be greatly missed. Our hearts go out to her family and all of her loved ones,” the bank said in an emailed statement to Reuters on Tuesday.
Piacenti started her career as a legal intern with Major League Baseball. She later worked in M&A roles at Morgan Stanley and the law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell. She joined Bank of America in 2025.

NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said the unprovoked attack started near West 41st Street and 7th Avenue after a woman pulled two knives from a Target bag. Responding NYPD officers first used a Taser before firing their weapons at the alleged attacker, who was fatally wounded.
Both victims and the suspect were transported to Bellevue Hospital.
Bank of America's Manhattan office is located close to Times Square at One Bryant Park.
Piacenti suffered stab wounds in the incident and was later pronounced dead, according to the NYPD. NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said the attack appeared to be random and unprovoked, making the fatal incident even more tragic.
"The investigation remains ongoing by the NYPD Force Investigation Division," the NYPD said in a statement, adding that the suspect, Pamela Cisneros, a 49-year-old woman, was killed on Monday as officers responded, as per Reuters.
